At our last church zoom, we explained only 2 x parties have access to the orchard, not us. The meeting was in general agreement to sell, but a clear request was for a legal ‘clawback’ clause, where if the buyer develops the orchard and makes profit, we receive 50% of that profit. The prospective buyer has verbally agreed to cut the overhanging trees, pay all the legal costs, upped the offer to £2,500, with a 20yr clawback. This is subject to majority approval from our Members, and the prospective buyer still agreeing. This can be discussed at our next meeting, Tue.01.Sep.2020, 1900hrs/7pm, usual zoom link.
