Dear Churches Together in Bourne, As I am sure you are aware, this year, as with every year, Bourne Salvation Army are running the Christmas Appeal. Because we are supporting families in crisis, we aim to provide one main present for each child we are supporting. The main presents range from between £15 and £30, so as main presents go, they are not huge, but as this is possibly the only present they will get, we do like to try and make sure that each child has something lovely. In order to do this, we really need support from our community. We have put together an Amazon Wishlist which can be located here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2QNTG0EJS7FBH?ref_=wl_share
and we wondered if you would be able to share this link with your congregations and friends, to see if anyone would like to support our appeal. If anyone would like to support our families by buying a present from the list, they should simply click the link above, find the gift they want to purchase from the list, click ‘Add To Basket’, and check out. During check out, they can then choose to have it delivered straight to Bourne Salvation Army. I am sending this email today because the Black Friday sales are currently on, meaning that many of the gifts are at reduced prices this week. If people would like to support our appeal, now would be the best time to purchase with the current Black Friday deals. Of course, if anyone would prefer to buy a gift not from the list, they are welcome to do so. Any additional gifts will be shared out amongst the children. These can be dropped to Sally-Anne’s charity shop on West Street, Tuesdays – Saturdays 10am-4pm. The closing date for accepting gifts will be Friday 15th December. Cash and cheque donations can also be made there.
