Pastor’s Blog, June 2019

By | 8th June 2019

Hello Readers,

Lots has been happening recently. Our church AGM went well, acknowledging John Wass and Margaret Clark as Elders, John & Maureen Edenbrow as Deacons, Chris & Rita continue as Treasurers, and John Edenbrow as our new Church Secretary.

Kay has been painting with Mike & Annette in France along with Ann Peters. They had a blessed time and the paintings, (of which there are many!) are being displayed in our Thursday coffee mornings.Tom Hamilton closed the shop this week for a clear-out of old stock, and refurbishment including a full clean, filler, sanding, paint, drilling and screwing display stands and more. MND2 really looks smart, with diverse & interesting bargains. Take time to tell your friends and visit our fabulous shop !

As I type, today we have had the Believer’s Baptisms for Izzy Hunt, Tomasz Gunia & Pete Wright. Their testimonies moved some to tears. And then we were all dabbing our eyes when Tom proposed on one knee to Louise before entering the baptistry. A beautiful, memorable day in our church.

This week I get the privilege of attending Thorpe Hall Cancer care home, and present them with nearly £3,500 from the sponsored cycle ride.
Finally we are raising financial support for Julie, our teacher at Light House school, (CAMI), in D.R.Congo. We have agreed to send £100 per month starting July. We talked about 10 people giving £10 p/month. We have 8 already! Can you help? Please see me or John Edenbrow if you can.

If you are reading this and haven’t visited MND at 10.30am, or Dyke at 6.30pm, please call in. You will be pleasantly surprised. We are like a church, but much friendlier!

Blessings, Pastor Andy.
